Make it a very happy New Year with Earache!

Make your resolution this year to see some of these amazing New Year nuggets of entertainment from some of Earache’s finest!

First off, take a trip to the movies this year and you’re sure to have the pick of some amazing cinematic treats. In early January Earache new-comer ALEXANDRA ROACH stars as the young Margaret Thatcher in the Oscar tipped “The Iron Lady”. RACHAEL STIRLING is appearing in two major releases this year; “Salmon Fishing in Yemen” and “Snow White and the Huntsman”. If that wasn’t enough MONTSERRAT LOMBARD, RALPH BROWN, SHERIDAN SMITH and JULIE GRAHAM all star in “Tower Block”.

Catch VICTOR MCGUIRE, if you dare, in the haunting “Woman in Black” this year. Cropping up again is ALEXANDRA ROACH alongside MATTHEW MACFADYEN in “Anna Karenina”. And what year would be complete without the amazing ANDY SERKIS making an appearance. Catch him in “The Hobbit” released later in the year.

On to the small screen and “The Starlings” begins on Sky 1, written by and starring the multitalented STEVE EDGE. LYNDSEY MARSHAL is appearing in the television dramatisation of “Titanic” whilst LEE INGLEBY appears in the six part drama series “White Heat”. This year also sees the eagerly anticipated debut of INGRID OLIVER and LORNA WATSON’s comedy series; the aptly named “Watson and Oliver”.

Treading the boards this year and fresh from his role as Ginger in “Jerusalem” MACKENZIE CROOK takes to the stage again in “The Recruiting Officer” alongside RACHAEL STIRLING at the Donmar Warehouse. HARRY PEACOCK continues his run in the must-see “The Ladykillers” at the Gielgud Theatre, while KATHERINE PARKINSON also appears in “Absent Friends” at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Last but not least, this year also sees WILL ANDREWS with his own show on Radio 4: “Meanwhile Its Will and Greg”, and cropping up again is KATHERINE PARKINSON in the new radio sitcom “I Regress”.
